Open Calls for Women Entrepreneurs
The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, coordinator of EEN Cyprus would like to inform you about three open calls for women entrepreneurs. These opportunities provide significant funding, support, and networking possibilities for women-led startups and businesses. Below are the details of each call:
- Deadline: 4 August 2025
- Funding: €75,000 (non-dilutive) + 6-month program
Description: The Women TechEU programme supports early-stage, women-led deep tech startups across the European Union and Horizon Europe-associated countries. Its main objective is to bridge the gender gap in deep tech innovation by empowering female founders through direct financial support and capacity-building services.
Benefits:
- €75,000 non-dilutive grant to support the initial steps of their innovation journey — including the development of business models, market analysis, intellectual property strategy, and scaling plans.
- Six-month business development coaching and mentoring program under the EIC Business Acceleration Services, giving access to a network of investors, corporates, and innovation experts.
2. Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards
- Deadline: 24 June 2025
- Funding: $100,000 for first-place winners
Description: The Cartier Women’s Initiative is a global entrepreneurship program that supports women-led and women-owned businesses with strong social or environmental impact. Launched in 2006, the initiative provides:
- Equity-free grants: $100,000 (1st place), $60,000 (2nd), $30,000 (3rd)
- One-year fellowship: Includes executive coaching, training, and peer learning
- Visibility: Access to international networks and media exposure
Eligibility:
- Woman must be the founder/co-founder and hold a key leadership position
- Business must be 1–6 years old and revenue-generating
- Must address at least one UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG)
- Good command of English and commitment to full participation required
- Deadline: August 21, 2025
- Funding: Up to €55,000
Description: Open Horizons will run three open calls from 2025 to 2027. Each one is an opportunity for women-led deeptech and digital startups to: access funding, co-create pilot projects with major European corporates, scale their solutions with real-world backing.
