EQAVET 4.0

EQAVET 4.0
For quality in outcome-oriented Vocational Educational Training

Project in brief

The "EQAVET 4.0 for Quality in Outcome-Oriented VET" project is focused on developing a comprehensive methodological approach to the VET LOOP (Vocational Education and Training Learning Outcomes and Performance). The outcome of this methodology will evaluate the relevance and effectiveness of VET programs in terms of both quantity and quality, specifically in relation to the jobs for which they are designed.

To achieve this, the project will develop the following components:

1.Sectoral Mapping Method
This method will include two key dimensions: level and content (on jobs and education). It will provide a clear, concise overview of the sector, describing the labor market and VET within a recognizable context that allows for the identification of career and learning paths. The sector map will serve as a common framework for understanding the types and levels of professions/jobs and their corresponding VET programs.

2. Job Profile Development
The job profile will detail the responsibilities and expectations of a specific job. This tool will be beneficial for both employers and job seekers:

  • For employers, it will assist in recruitment, job postings, and defining the criteria for hiring by outlining the specific duties and skills required.
  • For job seekers, it will provide an easy-to-understand format for identifying the essential components of the job, including the necessary experience, qualifications, and skills.
  • The job profile will include an overview of the job duties and responsibilities, the work environment, and the daily activities the employee will encounter. It will also specify the required technical and professional knowledge, capabilities, and expected levels of professional competence, as well as educational credentials.

3. Assessment Methodology and Tools
Graduated VET students working in companies within the sector will be assessed using multiple methods:

  • Company satisfaction with the performance of VET graduates.
  • VET provider expectations regarding the outcomes of the VET programs.
  • Students' satisfaction with their own performance during practice sessions.
  • Recommendations for improving the alignment between VET outcomes and employer expectations.

By developing these tools and methodologies, the project aims to improve the overall quality of VET programs, ensuring they are outcome-oriented and aligned with labor market needs. This will not only benefit students by providing clear career paths but also help employers find qualified candidates, ultimately contributing to a more efficient and relevant vocational education and training system.
