Public Consultation on the proposed AML Amendment Bill 2026

Please be informed that the proposed bill titled “The Prevention and Suppression of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (Amendment) Law of 2026” has been released for public consultation.

The bill introduces amendments to the existing legislative framework for the prevention and suppression of money laundering from illegal activities and is expected to impact the regulatory and business environment across several sectors.

The CCCI encourages its members to review the content of the proposal and submit any comments or suggestions within the consultation framework. The relevant material, including the draft bill and the Explanatory Document, is available HERE. The deadline for submitting comments is 14th of February 2026.

How to participate:
1. To submit your views, you must first register on the e-Consultation platform by clicking HERE and completing your details (email, username, etc.).
2. You will then receive an email to confirm your account.
3. After confirmation, log in to the platform.
4. In case you encounter any technical issues with the access code, you may contact the Officers responsible at the Ministry of Finance at Tel. 22602890 or 22602925.
5. Once logged in, you may view the consultation and submit your comments.

In parallel, you may also send your positions or comments to the CCCI at servicestradedigitalisation@ccci.org.cy, so that coordination can be improved and collective preparation of the Chamber’s positions can be supported.
