Private Certification for Composite Products Resistant to Ambient Temperature Storage

The Veterinary Services of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Environment inform you of the amendment, based on Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/2744, of the format of the private certificate required to accompany composite products that are resistant to ambient temperature storage and contain processed products of animal origin, except for processed meat products.

Extension of Application Submission – Grant Scheme for the Creation, Modernization, and Digital Upgrade of Processing Units and/or Marketing of Agricultural Products – 2nd Call

The Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry announces an extension for the submission of applications under the 2nd Call of the Scheme until Thursday, August 1, 2024.

Please note that, due to additional savings anticipated from the 1st Call, applications will be accepted for a total budget of €7 million. However, the maximum amount of approvals will not exceed the available budget of the Grant Scheme. Priority will be determined based on the order of submission (immediate evaluation).

Applications and the required supporting documents must be submitted electronically only at https://fundingapps.meci.gov.cy, using the Chrome, Firefox, or Edge browsers.

Please find attached (PDF below), for your information, the final form of the “Business Guide for Offers and Discounts Practices”, from the Consumer Protection Service.

The guide differs in several points from the draft that was sent, as a result of the comments of the (SPPEK) Association of Consumer Goods Suppliers and Retailers Associations that were finally adopted and taken into account in the drafting of the final text.

The purpose of the guide is to provide guidance to businesses on how the provisions of the Law should be interpreted and applied in relation to traders’ promotions and to facilitate their correct application.
