Green Transition in Cypriot Businesses

The green transition is a crucial process for businesses to adapt to modern requirements of sustainability and environmental responsibility. Specifically, for Cypriot businesses, adopting sustainable practices is not only a legislative obligation but also a strategic necessity to ensure their long-term survival and growth.

Sustainable practices can enhance corporate image and reputation, attracting environmentally conscious consumers and investors. Implementing green initiatives can also improve corporate culture, increasing employee loyalty and productivity, while gradually becoming a prerequisite for finding partners and clients.

To avoid any future problems for your businesses, we encourage you to engage thoroughly with this matter, adopting sustainable practices in a timely manner, investing in staff training and processes related to green transition, developing green partnerships, and utilizing financial tools to reduce your carbon footprint, ensuring the uninterrupted operation of your units.

We remind you that currently, businesses can obtain funding through the Circular Economy Scheme for SMEs from the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry.
The Grant Scheme for Encouraging the Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Businesses, which involves conducting a study for the company to develop a Greenhouse Gas Emissions Monitoring Plan arising from the company’s activities, is also open for applications.
