3rd Call for Applications – Women TechEU Program

The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as the coordinator of Enterprise Europe Network Cyprus, would like to inform you that the 3rd Call for Applications for the Women TechEU.

The Women TechEU programme, funded by the European Union, seeks to create a more gender-balanced entrepreneurial ecosystem by providing women in technology with more opportunities, resources and support to grow and excel. It aims to support female-led start-ups in the deep tech sector across Europe and to increase the number of women founding start-ups.

Benefits for Selected Beneficiaries:

Funding: Each selected startup will receive a €75,000 grant (non-equity based).
Tailored Business Development Programme: Including mentoring, coaching, and targeted training sessions.
Application Deadline: The deadline for applications is 17 March 2025, 17:00 CET (Brussels time).
Eligibility Criteria: The company must be founded or co-founded by a woman who holds an executive leadership position (e.g., CEO, CTO).
Ownership Structure: Women must own at least 25% of the company’s shares at the time of application.
Legal Registration: The company must be legally registered and based in an EU Member State or an associated country under Horizon Europe for at least six months before the application deadline and be no older than eight years.
Development Stage: The company must be in an early development phase, before achieving a fully operational minimum viable product (TRL 3-6), and must have raised less than €1 million in equity investment.

Announcement by the Cyprus Statistical Service – Annual National Accounts

ANNUAL NATIONAL ACCOUNTS: FIRST ESTIMATE FOR THE YEAR 2024
Growth Rate 3,4%

The growth rate of the economy in 2024 is positive and is estimated at 3,4% in real terms (volume measures). At current prices, the percentage change in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) amounts to 6,6%.

Regarding the production approach for the estimation of GDP in real terms, the positive growth rate is mainly attributed to the sectors: “Hotels and Restaurants”, “Information and communication”, “Construction” and “Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles”.
