CERN Industry Webinar: Business Cooperation Opportunities with the CERN Organisation
CERN (Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire), the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, is the largest research centre in the world. It was founded in 1954 by eleven European countries and today has twenty-four member states from Europe. CERN provides scientists with the appropriate facilities to conduct experiments on elementary particles, contributing to the fields of physics, informatics, medicine, engineering, and technology.
Cyprus joined CERN on 1st April 2016 with the status of an Associate Member. Beyond the existing cooperation within the framework of the CMS experiment, Cyprus’s integration into CERN allows the representation of the Republic of Cyprus on the Organisation’s Council and participation in its activities (research and otherwise). Additionally, it provides opportunities for business cooperation with Cypriot companies for the purchase of supplies (both high and low-tech) and services through competitive procedures.
In this context, CERN is organising the 3rd Industry Webinar on Thursday, 27 November 2025, between 11:00-13:00 (Cyprus time). This online seminar is primarily aimed at companies with no prior experience in CERN’s procurement procedures (CERN Procurement).
The seminar will cover the following:
• How the CERN procurement procedure works
• What CERN usually buys and what its upcoming needs are
• How companies can register and stay informed
• What “industrial return” means for your country
• Q&A with CERN procurement officers
For the agenda and registration, you can visit the relevant event link.
For (full) registration of your company on the CERN suppliers’ platform or to update your profile, you can visit the relevant link (CERN eProcurement platform).
