Requirements for the labeling of packaged wet wipes

The Measures and Weights Service of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry, after conducting market inspections, found that many packaged wet wipes do not meet the labelling requirements as stipulated by the Measures and Weights (Packaged Goods) Regulations of 2000 and 2005.

Attached below (PDF) is a letter from the Measures and Weights Service detailing the labelling requirements for packaged wet wipes. Please note that any requirements stemming from Laws and Regulations of other Public Sector Services and Departments are not included in this letter.

Cyprus Export Award 2023 – Extension of Application Deadline

The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) and the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry announce the commencement of application submissions for the Cyprus Export Award for the year 2023.

Following our previous communication, which is attached, we inform you that the final date for application submissions has been set for Friday, June 28, 2024. Exporters of Industrial and Agricultural Products and Services are eligible to apply, provided they meet the relevant criteria.

2024 EU – Egypt Investment Conference – Last Update

We revert to the issue regarding the upcoming “2024 EU-Egypt Investment Conference”, which will take place in Cairo, on 29 and 30 June 2024, to inform you that, according to the Commercial Department of Cyprus in Cairo, companies interested in participating that have not registered after the initial invitation, can register directly on the platform www.invegyeu.com. The first invitation was sent with a relevant circular to the members of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 29/4/2024.
