eValueJobs

evaluejobs
Establishment of tools for the assessment and comparison of the value of work, based on gender-neutral factors, and promotion of their wide use amongst employees and social partners.

Project in brief

eValueJobs is a project which aims to establish gender-sensitive tools that will be easily accessible to the target-groups, namely public and private employers and the social partners. In the first phase of the project, best practices will be reviewed and the needs of the target groups will be assessed to ensure that the tools to be developed are evidence-based, will respond to current knowledge and practice, and most importantly, will meet the needs of end-users. Target groups will receive guidance from the tools to be established regarding the evaluation and comparison of work value against gender-neutral factors, the removal of sex-based direct or indirect discrimination in job evaluation practices, and the creation of transparent pay structures free from sex-based discrimination.

Additionally, during collective bargaining, the tools will be designed to increase the social partners' ability to negotiate equal compensation for equal effort.

The second phase of the project, aiming at enhancing the capacity of end-users on using the tools for implementing gender-neutral job evaluation, developing pay systems and pay structures, and negotiating on equal pay for work of equal value. Awareness raising and communication activities, during both phases of the project, will ensure the engagement of the target-groups during needs’ assessment and training activities, and will significantly contribute in the change process of the national business environment, towards more analytical assessment of the value of jobs, based on gender-neutral factors, ensuring equal pay for work of equal value.
