Public consultation on the Grant Scheme for Solar Water Heating Systems in Residences (2023)

We would like to inform you that the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry is conducting a public consultation on the new “Grant Scheme for Solar Water Heating Systems in Residences,” which will be implemented by the RES and EE Fund in 2023.
The proposed Grant Scheme provides funding for the installation or replacement of integrated water heating systems (hot water cylinder and panels) that meet minimum technical criteria.

The grant amount per application/residence is as follows:

• GENERAL CATEGORY: €500
• RESIDENCES WITH VULNERABLE ELECTRICITY CONSUMERS: €900
• RESIDENCES IN MOUNTAINOUS AREAS: €900

The deadline for submitting written comments within the framework of the public consultation is June 30, 2023, until 13:00. Please send any comments on the Scheme to the email address kkyrizis@meci.gov.cy.
