Submission of Annual Reports for the Year 2024 on the Electronic Waste Registry

We would like to inform you the Department of Environment of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Environment announces that the online platform of the Electronic Waste Registry will be open from the first week of January 2025 until 31.03.2025 for the submission of annual reports for 2024 by obligated entities.(no extensions will be granted)
The following entities are required to register and submit their reports:

a) Any physical or legal person who is a producer or holder of hazardous waste (e.g., car mechanics, printing houses, dry cleaners, carpentries, pharmacies, doctors, dentists, hospitals/clinics, chemical laboratories, etc.).
b) Any physical or legal person who:

(i) Engages in the collection or transportation of waste on a professional basis,
(ii) Engages in the trading or brokerage of waste, or
(iii) Manages its own waste, including recovery or disposal at the place of waste production.

c) Any physical or legal person holding a Waste Management Permit and/or a Registration Certificate in the Waste Management Operators Register.

Please find relevant supporting material available to assist with registration and submission of the annual report. On the website of the Department of Environment and the EWR platform (http://ewr.moa.gov.cy).
