The presentation aims to provide information to Cypriot businesses on the general picture of the Egyptian economy and energy environment and to highlight the opportunities for exporting services and possibly products in the Renewable Energy Sources (RES) sector, with particular emphasis on solar water heater technology in Egypt

It should be stressed that Egypt is a market with great potential due to the growing energy demand and high inflation that is putting pressure on energy prices. With a population of 120 million and an annual growth of 1.8%, the demand for affordable, renewable solutions is growing rapidly, making solar water heaters an ideal choice.
Egypt, committed to Vision 2030 and the Paris Agreement to reduce emissions, is looking for innovative solutions for sustainable energy, and Cypriot businesses can leverage their expertise in solar systems by establishing strategic partnerships.

In particular, the presentation will focus on the following points

• Current Economic Situation in Egypt: Strong FDI, IMF support, 20%inflation, and high currency risks make RE an attractive sector for stable ROI.
• Introduction to Egypt’s Energy Market: Egypt’s energy demand rises 5%yearly, impacted by a 1.8% population growth rate. Increased renewables needed to offset fossil fuel reliance.
• Renewable Energy in Egypt: Market Size & Potential: Current capacity of 6,709 MW with over USD 8 billion in investments; growth target of 42% RE share by 2040.

Σας ενημερώνουμε ότι το Υπουργείο Δικαιοσύνης και Δημόσιας Τάξεως έχει προκηρύξει το Σχέδιο Παροχής για εφαρμογή του Προτύπου ISO 37001, Σύστημα Διαχείρισης κατά της Διαφθοράς. Το σχέδιο χορηγιών αφορά στην παροχή κινήτρων στο δημόσιο, ευρύτερο δημόσιο τομέα, στην τοπική αυτοδιοίκηση και στον ιδιωτικό τομέα για την εφαρμογή του Προτύπου ISO 37001: Σύστημα Διαχείρισης κατά της Διαφθοράς.

Το Σχέδιο χρηματοδοτείται από τον Μηχανισμό Ανάκαμψης και Ανθεκτικότητας της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης, μέσω του Σχεδίου Ανάκαμψης και Ανθεκτικότητας (ΣΑΑ) «Κύπρος ____ το αύριο» και αποτελεί ύψιστη προτεραιότητα για την Κυπριακή Δημοκρατία η επιτυχής ολοκλήρωσή του.

Το ISO 37001 είναι ένα διεθνές πρότυπο που αναπτύχθηκε από το Διεθνή Οργανισμό Τυποποίησης (ISO). Μέσω του προτύπου αυτού, τίθενται οι απαιτήσεις για τη δημιουργία ενός συστήματος διαχείρισης για τη καταπολέμηση της δωροδοκίας και της διαφθοράς εντός του οργανισμού. Στόχος είναι η δημιουργία ενός πλαισίου, το οποίο να βοηθά τους οργανισμούς να αποτρέψουν, να εντοπίσουν και να αντιμετωπίσουν τη δωροδοκία και τη διαφθορά σε όλες τις μορφές της. Τα οφέλη μεταξύ άλλων, αφορούν στην διαφάνεια, στη μείωση των δωροδοκιών, στη θεμελίωση ηθικής επιχειρηματικής κουλτούρας, στην οικοδόμηση εμπιστοσύνης, στην ενίσχυση και διατήρηση της φήμης, στην αποτροπή οικονομικών ζημιών, στην αύξηση αποδοτικότητας της εργασίας και στην δημιουργία εμπιστευτικών καναλιών επικοινωνίας τόσο με τους εργαζόμενους όσο και με τους συνεργάτες του κάθε Οργανισμού.

Στα πλαίσια του Σχεδίου, θα διατεθεί συνολικό χρηματικό ποσό ύψους 2 εκατομμυρίων ευρώ ως χορηγία σε 120 περίπου οργανισμούς του δημοσίου, ευρύτερου δημοσίου, τοπικής αυτοδιοίκησης και ιδιωτικού τομέα.

Οι αιτήσεις συμμετοχής στο Σχέδιο υποβάλλονται μέσω ηλεκτρονικού ταχυδρομείου, στη διεύθυνση iso37001@mjpo.gov.cy μέχρι και την 30η Νοεμβρίου 2024.
