We would like to remind you of the important obligation to confirm the details of your company’s Beneficial Owners (BOs) in the Beneficial Owners Register (BOR). The confirmation process will take place from October 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024, and applies to all companies incorporated or registered under the Companies Law, Cap. 113, as well as to European Public Limited Companies (SEs) and Cooperatives.
Important Points:

1. Financial Penalties: Failure to confirm the BOs’ details within the given timeframe will result in a financial penalty of €200 on the first day, followed by an additional€100 for each subsequent day of delay, with a maximum total penalty of €20,000. This penalty applies to the company and its officers.

2. Annual Confirmation Requirement: Regardless of any changes to the BOs’ details throughout the year, confirmation must be carried out once annually between October 1 and December 31.

3. Instructions for Confirmation: The confirmation process is completed through the BOR system, and the steps are detailed on the Registrar of Companies’ website. Το ΚΕΒΕ σε συνεργασία με την Εθνική Αρχή Ασφαλείας, διοργανώνουν ενημερωτική συνάντηση στις 25 Οκτωβρίου 2024 στις 11:00 π.μ. στον 1ο όροφο του κτιρίου του ΚΕΒΕ για ενημέρωση όλων των ενδιαφερομένων επιχειρήσεων που διαχειρίζονται ή ενδιαφέρονται για διαχείριση διαβαθμισμένων πληροφοριών όπως και των επιχειρήσεων που εισάγουν ή κατασκευάζουν υλικά που μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθούν στην κατασκευή των χώρων φύλαξης των πληροφοριών.

Οι πληροφορίες οποιασδήποτε μορφής (έγγραφα, ηλεκτρονικά αρχεία, φωτογραφίες κλπ) χαρακτηρίζονται ως διαβαθμισμένες λόγω της σημαντικότητάς τους για την εθνική ασφάλεια, την οικονομία, ή άλλους κρίσιμους τομείς. Αυτές οι πληροφορίες μπορεί να αφορούν στρατιωτικά σχέδια, οικονομικές στρατηγικές, ή άλλες ευαίσθητες πληροφορίες σε σχέση με την εθνική ασφάλεια που αν διαρρεύσουν, θα μπορούσαν να προκαλέσουν ζημιά στα ζωτικά συμφέροντα της ΚΔ.

Για τη φύλαξη των διαβαθμισμένων πληροφοριών, υπάρχουν συγκεκριμένα πρότυπα τα οποία παρέχουν συγκεκριμένα πλαίσια για την προστασία των πληροφοριών και την εφαρμογή κατάλληλων μέτρων ασφάλειας για την προστασία, φύλαξη και αποτροπή μη εξουσιοδοτημένης πρόσβασης, αλλοίωσης, ή απώλειας των δεδομένων.

Η Εθνική Αρχή Ασφαλείας είναι η Αρμόδια Αρχή για έλεγχο και πιστοποίηση των επιχειρήσεων και οργανισμών που επιθυμούν να διαχειρίζονται τέτοιες πληροφορίες και να αποκτήσουν το απαραίτητο πιστοποιητικό ασφαλείας (Facility Security Clearance).

Η παρουσίαση θα επικεντρωθεί στις υποχρεώσεις των εισαγωγέων / κατασκευαστών των χώρων φύλαξης των πληροφοριών, και στις προϋποθέσεις που πρέπει να πληρούν οι χώροι και οι επιχειρήσεις που επιθυμούν να διαχειρίζονται διαβαθμισμένες πληροφορίες.

The Cyprus Supply Chain Association (CY.S.CA) is organizing its 4th Conference under the auspices of the CCCI, titled “Responsible Supply Chain Operations,” on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the Kousioumi Estate in Nicosia.

As part of the conference, the 1st Nationwide Readiness Survey of Companies and Organizations for ESG in the Supply Chain and Business Operations will be conducted.

The purpose of the survey is to assess the readiness of companies and organizations according to European ESRS standards regarding their compliance with the pillars of Corporate Sustainability – Environment, Society, Governance, and to provide information on best ESG practices in the Supply Chain and Business Operations.

Το Τμήμα Φορολογίας, ενημερώνει ότι, σύμφωνα με την ΚΔΠ 231/2024 η επιβολή του μηδενικού συντελεστή Φ.Π.Α. στις παραδόσεις βασικών ειδών ισχύει μέχρι τις 30 Σεπτεμβρίου 2024.
Συνεπώς από την 1η Οκτωβρίου 2024, εφαρμόζονται οι συντελεστές Φ.Π.Α. που ίσχυαν πριν την έκδοση των σχετικών Διαταγμάτων.
