Department of European Affairs and Programmes
Bringing Europe closer to the business community of Cyprus is the core mission of the Department of European Affairs and Programmes. This is achieved through its participation in European Commission funded projects and initiatives, but also through its membership in the Enterprise Europe Network allowing the CCCI to provide enterprises all over Cyprus with free advice and immediate access to EU policies, legislation, EU funding, opportunities for business, technological and research cooperation, participation in EU public consultation and other information of interest to European businesses. Additionally, the Mediation Service of the CCCI operates under this Department, offering inter-alia training seminars in this field.
The CCCI has a long-standing experience in participating in EC funded projects, both as a coordinator as well as a partner. It is the Chamber’s belief that such projects are an invaluable tool for acquiring experience and gaining access to sources of knowledge relevant to the interests of its member enterprises with the final aim of transferring it to them, be that of educational nature, training, research, or hands-on experience, in fields ranging from digitalization, social economy, green skills, circular economy, diversity management, social dialogue, innovative funding mechanisms, cross-border business cooperation and so on. In alignment with EU policies, the Chamber actively promotes initiatives such as the European Green Deal, the Digital Single Market, the EU Social Dialogue Framework and the EU Strategy for SMEs, among others. These efforts are designed to ensure that Cypriot businesses are well-informed and well-prepared to navigate and benefit from the evolving EU policy landscape. If you are looking for a reliable partner for your project covering the entire territory of the Republic of Cyprus, look no further.

EU Support Tools for SMEs
Several EU support tools are accessible to assist Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in locating funding, obtaining information and guidance, accessing training and partnerships, or seeking help and advice. The effective functioning of these tools relies on the involvement of member organizations known for their excellence in providing business support.
Two of these tools are provided by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which actively participates in both European tool programs. It serves as a coordinator for EEN Cyprus and a partner in EDIH.
- Enterprise Europe Network (EEN Network): helping SMEs innovate and grow internationally by providing advisory services and bringing innovative ideas to commercial successes, as well as connecting SMEs with international business partners.
- European Digital Innovation Hubs Network (EDIH network): helping local companies and public organisations improve their business using digital technologies, though personalised such as testing before investing, training and skills development, support to find investments, networking and access to innovation ecosystems.
Moreover, the CCCI plays a pivotal role in informing and guiding businesses about compliance with EU policies, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the European Framework Agreement on Digitalisation, the EU taxonomy for sustainable activities and many more. By staying updated with the latest developments in EU policy, the Chamber ensures that Cypriot businesses can proactively adapt to new regulations and leverage emerging opportunities.
