Το Τμήμα Επιθεώρησης Εργασίας του Υπουργείου Εργασίας και Κοινωνικών Ασφαλίσεων ενημερώνει τους επηρεαζόμενους επαγγελματίες και το καταναλωτικό κοινό ότι πρόσφατα ψηφίστηκε νέος Ευρωπαϊκός Κανονισμός με τον οποίο θα περιορίζεται η συγκέντρωση της
Φορμαλδεΰδης που απελευθερώνεται από αντικείμενα εσωτερικού χώρου τα οποία προορίζονται για χρήση από το ευρύ κοινό. Συγκεκριμένα, οι εκπομπές Φορμαλδεΰδης από αντικείμενα με βάση το ξύλο δεν πρέπει να υπερβαίνουν το όριο των 0,062 mg/m3 και για
αντικείμενα από άλλα υλικά δεν πρέπει να υπερβαίνουν το όριο των 0,080 mg/m3. Ο συγκεκριμένος περιορισμός προστίθεται ως νέα καταχώριση στο Παράρτημα XVII του Ευρωπαϊκού Κανονισμού με αρ. 1907/2006 (REACH) και τίθεται σε ισχύ στις 6.8.2026.
